Aviation Logo

I have been working on designing a logo for a good friends aviation company. They fix airplanes (how cool is that!?) Anyways... I have really tried to put a vintage spin on this one. I have working mostly in black and white, and focusing on form. I want the tone of the logo to be fun, compassionate, and inviting not to mention trustworthy. I would think that you would want to trust the person fixing your airplane. here are a few works in progress.
