These are some images of the many Longaberger baskets that my mother collects. I am starting to fall in love with them. Almost all of the baskets have a name and a collection that they belong too. All of the baskets are dated and signed by their creator. They are all handwoven in Dresden, Ohio at the Longaberger Homestead. Some of the baskets even have there number from the series that was made. Pretty cool stuff. I was thinking of these different methods to organize them: year made, maker (by initial), liners, wood, accessories, season or theme, pattern of liner, type of handle, iconic shape or form, the function of the basket (poetic/practical), or size.
