Image: Florence Nightingale

I have decided to research Florence Nightingale for the 2nd project in my image class.  I don't know a lot about her, so I hope to challenge myself with this.  I have collected some information so far.  I want to incorporate statistical equations with traditional portraits of her.  I also want to take advantage of geographical space by communicating form through letterform.   I want to explore the actual visual representation of an icon as well since I still have a little ways to go in my understanding of an actual "icon".
