I am in love with hand laid text, and I decided to explore this theme in depth. I started by abstractly arranging text on a page, and I kept adding letterforms and other words. I then scanned what I created and used photoshop to render them. I tried not to incorporate too much filtering. I really wanted to explore scale change and how it affects the grayscale in the composition. What does storm say when its on a black background compared to a white background? I really feel like the black composition evokes the actual moment occurring in the middle of a storm, and the white composition connotes more of the aftermath of the storm.
