This is my proposed cover for my "Tender Buttons" spreads. I created my interpretation, or at least what I think of in my head when I think cubist, on the front cover. I used water color pencil and put the illustration in an ornate frame to reveal through image what you will come across in this book via typography. The actual title is vertical due to the fact that the colophon is in the same position, however I am not liking it so much. I might go back to a more traditional use of type.
This is my "new" table of contents page, which is probably my favorite out of all the other spreads. I like the energy and the contrast from black to white.
